Artist Information

Bio

I paint modern and expressive watercolor florals. I ‘ve been painting for over twenty years; I previously had a career in the medical field and have been enjoying motherhood. I live in the rural mountains of California, always finding inspiration in nature and the beautiful outdoors.

During recent difficult health journeys, my long recoveries led me back to my love of watercolor. Focusing on my art helped me to heal and focus on subjects that uplifted my mood with vibrant and cheerful colors. I incorporate these moments of botanical beauty with my vision of expressive elements.

Statement

I want to create watercolor florals that evoke emotions through color and form. By creating plenty of details and texture, each flower requires a closer look and appreciation. I explore themes of decay in dried florals; and the creation of life in my Color Fill series.
